Daily Wage Payroll
Daily Wage Payroll Software for Indian Factories & Labour Contractors
Daily wage workers are not like salaried employees — they are paid for the days they actually work, often in multiple settlements throughout the month. Retail Line HR handles this natively: wages are calculated from attendance, advances are deducted automatically, and carry-forward balances track to the rupee.

What's Included
Everything you need for Daily Wage Payroll
Built specifically for Indian factories, warehouses and businesses — not adapted from generic HR software.
Daily Rate × Attendance Calculation
Wages are calculated as daily rate × days present. The system reads attendance records directly — no manual counting. Half-days are counted as half a day's wage.
Period-Wise Settlement
Settle wages in three periods: 1–10, 11–20, and 21–31 of the month — or settle the full month at once. Each period is tracked independently with its own record.
Advance Deduction at Settlement
Any advance given during the period is automatically deducted from the wage settlement. If the advance exceeds the wages earned, the outstanding amount carries forward to the next period.
Carry-Forward Balance
Unpaid wages or unrecovered advances carry forward automatically to the next settlement. The balance is always visible on the worker's record — nothing is forgotten or miscalculated.
Temporary Labour Management
Daily labour who are not permanent employees are managed in a separate section. Their attendance and settlement work the same way — without being mixed into the permanent workforce records.
Wage Settlement History
Every wage settlement is stored permanently per worker. View how much was paid, when, what advance was deducted, and what the closing balance was — for any period in the past.
How It Works
Simple from day one
Retail Line HR is designed for businesses that need results — not a weeks-long implementation project.
Attendance is marked daily
Supervisors mark each daily-wage worker's attendance every day. Present, absent, and half-day marks accumulate throughout the settlement period.
Choose the settlement period
At the end of a period (1–10, 11–20, or 21–31), the admin opens the wage settlement for that period. The system shows each worker's earned wages and any advance to deduct.
Confirm and record the settlement
The admin confirms the settlement amount and payment mode. The record is saved permanently, the balance is updated, and any carry-forward is noted for the next period.
FAQ
Questions about Daily Wage Payroll
Can daily wages be settled more than once in a month?
Yes. This is how most factories and labour contractors operate. Retail Line supports three settlement periods per month (1–10, 11–20, 21–31) and a full-month settlement. Each period can be settled independently as it ends.
What happens if a worker's advance is more than their wages for the period?
The outstanding advance balance carries forward automatically to the next settlement period. Retail Line tracks the exact amount owed and displays it on the worker's record until it is fully recovered.
Are daily-wage workers handled separately from monthly-salaried staff?
Yes. Daily-wage workers go through the daily wage settlement system. Monthly-salaried employees go through the monthly payroll system. Both can exist in the same business account without mixing.
Can I pay daily wages partly in cash and partly via bank?
Yes. Each wage settlement can be split across multiple payment modes — cash, bank transfer, or advance adjustment. The breakdown is recorded separately so the exact payment method is always traceable.
