Family Payroll
Family Payroll & Group Wage Settlement for Indian Factories
In many Indian factories, multiple family members work at the same business — and they want their wages settled together to one person. Retail Line HR's Family Payroll system handles this precisely: individual attendance stays separate, but wage settlement is combined with a single designated receiver and shared advance recovery.

What's Included
Everything you need for Family Payroll
Built specifically for Indian factories, warehouses and businesses — not adapted from generic HR software.
Individual Attendance, Combined Settlement
Each family member's attendance is tracked independently — day by day, shift by shift. But when it comes to wage settlement, all members' earnings are combined into a single payment to the designated receiver.
Designated Receiver
One family member is designated as the settlement receiver. All combined wages go to this person — whether by cash or bank transfer — with a single complete settlement record.
Combined Advance Recovery
Advances given to any family member are tracked at the family group level. Recovery is deducted from the combined settlement, and outstanding balances carry forward together — no separate advance registers per member.
Family Payroll Records
Each family group has its own settlement history. View which members contributed how many days, what the total settlement was, what was deducted, and what balance carries forward.
Flexible Group Composition
A family group can have two or more members. Each member is still a regular employee with their own profile, department, and attendance — the family payroll grouping is an additional settlement layer on top.
Period-Wise Family Settlement
Family wage settlements follow the same period system as daily wage payroll — 1–10, 11–20, 21–31, or full month. Each period can be settled independently.
How It Works
Simple from day one
Retail Line HR is designed for businesses that need results — not a weeks-long implementation project.
Create a family group
Group two or more employee profiles into a Family Payroll group. Designate one member as the settlement receiver. Each member still retains their individual profile and attendance.
Attendance is marked individually
Every family member's attendance is marked daily by their supervisor, just like any other worker. Their individual attendance determines their contribution to the group's combined wage.
Settle wages to the designated receiver
At settlement time, the system combines all members' earned wages, deducts any group-level advances, and records the combined settlement to the designated receiver.
FAQ
Questions about Family Payroll
What is Family Payroll and why would I need it?
Family Payroll is for situations where multiple family members work at the same business and want their wages paid together to one person — common in Indian factories and labour-intensive businesses. It keeps individual attendance accurate while simplifying the payment to a single combined settlement.
Can family members be in different departments?
Yes. Family members can be in completely different departments and have different supervisors. Their attendance is managed independently within their respective departments. Only the wage settlement is combined at the family group level.
How are advances handled in a family group?
Advances given to any member of the family group are tracked at the group level. At settlement time, total advances outstanding for the group are deducted from the combined wages, and any remaining balance carries forward to the next period.
Can I switch a worker back to individual payroll from family payroll?
Yes. Workers can be removed from a family group and reverted to individual settlement. Past family payroll records remain unchanged — only future settlements switch to individual mode.
